How to change the startup sound on Redmi 17

Choose the Boot audio destination

These steps follow Xiaomi's global instructions for the Redmi 17. Check that your phone offers the matching choices; the same route is not established here for Redmi 17 5G or every regional software build.

1. Open the Theme app and go to My account.

2. Open Ringtones and select the sound you want.

3. Tap Apply, then choose Boot audio. Check the destination before confirming, rather than assuming that selecting a ringtone alone changes the startup sound.

Check it when a restart is convenient

I'd finish any call or unsaved work first, then check the result during a convenient restart. Listen as the phone starts and decide whether the choice is one you want to keep.

If you'd prefer another sound, return to the same Theme, My account and Ringtones route, select a different choice and apply it to Boot audio again.

If Boot audio is missing

Stop at the first menu that does not match. Note the exact model, software version and the choices you can see, then ask Xiaomi support about that build. I wouldn't reset the phone or change its region merely to chase a startup sound.
