Make small details easier to see with Redmi screen magnification

Screen magnification lets you enlarge part of what you see on your Redmi, then return to the ordinary view with a shortcut. I'd try it for an occasional hard-to-read detail. Xiaomi's current HyperOS accessibility guidance describes the feature, but availability and menu names depend on your model and software.

Find the built-in shortcut

1. Open Settings and look for Accessibility. In Xiaomi's guide, Magnification sits in the Vision section. If the layout differs, search Settings for Magnification rather than assuming every Redmi has the same menu.

2. Open Magnification and enable Magnification shortcut. Xiaomi describes an on-screen magnifier button; follow the shortcut choice shown on your own phone.

3. Open an ordinary page, activate the shortcut and tap the area you want to enlarge. Practise returning to the normal view before relying on it for something important.

This is a general guide for Redmi software that offers this setting, not confirmation of every model's feature list. If it is absent, check with Xiaomi support for your exact model and software version.

Move around without losing your place

Drag with two fingers to explore the enlarged view, and pinch with two fingers to change the zoom. Use the shortcut again to stop magnification.

I'd begin with a modest zoom so that nearby labels stay visible. A large view can help with a tiny detail, but it also leaves less context on screen. If a settings icon appears in the magnified view, Xiaomi describes controls for the zoom level and magnifier size.

If tapping feels different or zoom disappears

Google notes that the triple-tap shortcut adds a short delay to ordinary taps while Android checks for another tap. If that bothers you, return to Magnification shortcut and choose a different available method, such as the accessibility button.

Opening or closing an app may reset the zoom, depending on your settings. Activate the shortcut again when needed. To remove the shortcut entirely, return to Magnification settings and switch Magnification shortcut off.

Magnification serves a different purpose from Reading mode, which my Redmi Note 15 Pro guide covers for display comfort. I'd choose magnification when the problem is seeing a small detail, then judge the result on the screen I actually need to read.
